 Sire:  Outback Boers War Chief

Dam:  DL Ruby Begonia

The Duke has been absolutely amazing!  His length of body along with his nice long neck has given our does a look that we strive for in our herd!

He has been very busy since Summer breeding many does and he still looks terrific!  Just look at the elegance and overall quality of his offspring!  He is a grandson of Shafer Farm's Dr. Pepper ennobled and Der War Paint also ennobled.   This awesome buck is jointly owned by Chestnut Springs Farm and Moss Creek Farm of Stuart, Va.

We are very proud to report that The Duke produced one GRAND CHAMPION SHOW WETHER in 2007 and one RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION  SHOW WETHER!!  Our awesome and dear friend, Paige Stahl of Somerset, PA won Grand Champion Show Wether with her Chestnut Springs Farm born and bred paint wether.

We'd like to thank the Davidson's for allowing us to purchase this awesome red boy!  They have about the best looking herd of reds we have ever seen!

CSF Firewater is a really good looking young buck with an amazing growth rate to boot.  CSF Pow Mia has consistantly put outstanding bucks and does on the ground for Chestnut Springs Farm!  Jusy look at that long neck and square from front to back!  He's not posed in this photo either!  We'll be breeding him to some of our big muscled CSF Mountain Dew daughters!

We feel that Firewater will be an oustanding wether maker.

CSF Mountain Dew's kids started hitting the ground in April of 2007 and they are by far some of the most perfect kids ever born on the place!  Mountain Dew is full of natural muscling which is easily seen in his offspring.

CSF Over The Top

DOB: November 15, 2006

Sire: DL The Duke
Dam: CSF Raven

Breeder: Chestnut Springs Farm

I fell hook, line, and sinker as soon as I saw this fellow being born and he hasn't disappointed me one bit since!  DL The Duke and CSF Raven are producing near perfect offspring.  I am really excited with OTT's success as a breeder!  Check out CSF Bolderdash and CSF Enchanted.

This fellow is long bodied, level topped, deep chested, big hipped, square, perfect testicles, nice wide head with a good hornset.  He is perfect teated has a strong bite and a gentle disposition!

Kids out of CSF OTT and CSF Red Bud are here and they are awesome!

CSF Navajo

DOB: November 17, 2006

Sire: DL The Duke
Dam: CSF Tulip Devine

Breeder: Chestnut Springs Farm

CSF Navajo "our gentle giant" covered a few of our does and I am so delighted with his offspring.  We chose to use Navajo because of all the strengths he possesses.  His clean and wide chest, extremely LONG LOIN, GREAT TOPLINE, long neck, long legs, and beautiful wide head is exactly what we are looking for in a herdsire!  Although CSF Navajo has moved on to another farm we are lucky to have a limited supply of semen out of him and after watching his offspring develope I am very relieved that we did!  Watch for Navajo's offspring in the show ring!  Also, take a look at his son CSF Firewater and a few does that we'll be adding to the does page this week.

Tri-Quest Pipsissewa's kids started hitting the ground in February of 2006 and they have been nothing short of amazing!  Absolutely no cull factors on any of his kids!  Their growth rates have been excellent too...  When people look at Pip, as we call him, the first thing they comment on is his awesome balance!  We are very strict with our breeding program and place a huge emphasis on the breed standards set forth by the South Africans! Check out Pip's beautiful head!  Pip's daughter out of CSF Tulip Devine won Grand Champion Junior FB doe at the West Virginia State Fair 2006!

CSF Jim Dandy was sold to Dr. Phillip Peterson and wife Rebecca when only six months of age and they really enjoyed owning him, but after seeing his awesome kids we decided to offer a trade to his owners for another buck, unrelated to Jim Dandy's kids, so we could have him back to add to our breeding program. This gave Dr. Peterson and Rebecca the opportunity to get a nice new buck out of XS African Abner and Nzuri Zeleta.  Jim Dandy's first kids hit the grounds of Chestnut Springs in November and they are truly fantastic!  All of his does are keepers and his wethers were all show quality!  Jim Dandy is a full brother to CSF Redbud.  Welcome home Jim Dandy!  Just look at Jim Dandy's daughters on the home page!  CSF Skylark, CSF Mohave Moon, CSF Diego, Tri-Quest Style, CSF Starling, CSF Catbird and CSF Shindig are absolutely beautiful!

Abner

XS African Abner was the first fullblood Boer buck ever puchased by Chestnut Springs Farm, and he certainly left us with some very lovely daughters.  See CSF Miss Bunny, CSF Tulip Divine, CSF Decadance and CSF Pata May on our Does Page.  We really miss Abner and his awesome personality!
